English Abstracts mup 4|2015 | 173 ■ Art and Horsea Transcultural Approach to Therapy with Refugee Children Claudia Baldeo The project Artand Equine Assisted Therapy with Refugee Children was developed and put into practice by the centre for intercultural psychotherapy Ankyra of the „Diakonie Flüchtlingsdienst“. The article gives insight into the projects main reference theories and describes its practical approach to the question of effectivity factors in the combination of art therapy and equine therapy. The work with non verbal methods of intervention, the disposability of a big variety of expressive tools, the multilayered possibilities to shape positive relationships are some oft the interactive themes described in this transcultural therapy approach. Keywords: Child refugees, asylum seekers, sequential traumatisation, transcultural approach, work beyond cultural barriers, non verbal intervention, resource oriented therapy ■ Horse assisted therapy: Changement of interactive and communicative behaviour of children with ASD Nadja Amirmoini Horse assisted therapy has been used for many years in different forms as an additional treatment for children and adolescents with ASD. During this time, therapists made broad positive experience that argues for this development facilitation for children with ASD. The holistic nature of this therapeutic approach offers children with ASD numerous development opportunities. As part of a bachelor thesis, a qualitative study was carried out with the support of expert interviews. The questions focused on the changes in the communication and interaction behavior of children with ASD in the process of horse-assisted therapy from the perspective of professionals. The following article is based on the results of this study.
